Time in Nature

Nurtured by Nature

Evidence continues to collect that contact or connection with nature is linked with many improvements in mental health and well-being. It can increase happiness, positive affect, positive social interactions, and foster a greater sense meaning and purpose while decreasing mental distress.

Visiting nature reserves and protected habitats in rural or coastal locations seem to be most beneficial.

However, there is great value in exposure to most natural spaces no matter how remote, such as visiting urban parks with trees.

Even watching videos with green and blue spaces and diversity in flora or fauna can foster positive outcomes in mood and well-being.
